"What Is MIDI used for? MIDI of course is musical instrument digital interface. And it's basically a language. So that musical devices of different kinds can talk to each other. So sound cards, electronic keyboards, electronic drums like these, etc. Can all work with each other. MIDI is used for a number of different things. Including, making electronic instruments out of something that would normally be acoustic. So for example, with this drum set. All of these sounds are using MIDI samples to create electronic drum set sound. From something that's, that is, that is electronic. If I had a keyboard, a MIDI keyboard. I could get these exact same sounds just from pressing three different keys. So these sounds are independent of the type of instrument. That is being used to play them. You can also use MIDI to record. Because MIDI is number one, the file sizes that you usually get when doing MIDI recordings, are pretty small. And it's very easy to combine MIDI songs. With instrument samples. So as you can see, there's no, you can overlap. And you can stack MIDI very easily. So I can be playing a MIDI song and adding in my drum samples to it. And it will work pretty much flawlessly. Then you can transfer this over to a computer. And then you can use those MIDI created songs. For any number of things including, audio for videos. Instructional videos, really any number of things."
