Hi, my name's Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to totally erase a hard drive. Let's go to our computer, and I'll show you where to download what's called The Ultimate Boot CD, which is basically a program that includes the capabilities of of goin' and completely wiping your hard drive. It actually uses some department of defense standards, using a program called Derek's Boot Nuke. So, just open your web browser and search Google for The Ultimate Boot CD. Let's click on what'll probably be the first return result, and what you're going to find here is a list of the programs that are included on The Ultimate Boot CD, but go to the left here, and click download UBCD, and then you'll find locations where you can download it. I'd suggest you get an ISO file, and then burn that ISO file to a disc of your choice. And then, just take your CD I have here, and we're just going to pop it into our computer. Turn your computer all the way off, and then boot it back up. I'm actually going to start a virtual machine here, and I'm going to tell it to boot from my my CD that I have installed. And the first thing that you're going to see is where it says press enter to boot The Ultimate Boot CD, so I'm just going to press enter. And you have a lot of options, but I'm going to select hard disk tools, and then I'm going to scroll down to wiping tools, and I want to run Derek's Boot and Nuke. Now, when Derek's Boot and Nuke is booted just select your first one by pressing the space key, and then pressing F10 to start. It's now going to wipe your entire hard drive. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to totally wipe your hard drive.
