Hi, this is Rachael Richardson with nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about why will drinking saltwater kill you? And again, another interesting question to even think about but the reality is that salt in the body actually acts to attract water and actually salt no matter where it is attracts water to it just like sugar does and so, if you were to drink a very salty concentration of water or anything. If you were to eat table salt even you know I got some sea salt right here but if you were to eat salt, what happens is that salt goes into your blood stream and it attracts water and the same way that eating a high sodium or a high diet will cause high blood pressure, that the same reason why whereas if you were to just over consume it to the point where to absorb so much water into your body that your vessels will literally burst and you wouldn't have no water left in your cells. It will all come out into the blood stream. That will explain why you would literally die if you were to drink pure salt water for extended period of time. So, in stead of drinking salt water what I recommend is just drinking some mineral water and this has a little bit of sodium just enough to bring the right amounts in but not too much.
