Hi, this is Rachael Richardson with Nurtrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. What is dietetics? Dietetics is the study of diet, and more specifically how the diet interfaces with our body. So, it's one thing to say that a piece of salmon or an apple has a certain nutrient composition. These things have that plus fiber, and nutrients. The salmon has omega 3 fatty acids and protein, but then how does it actually act when it's inside your body? So what happens in the digestive process? What happens in the assimilation of the nutrient process? And how does that affect the different...our health, really, and the different diseases that we face, or the different imbalances that we may have in our bodies. So dietetics is a very interesting science, and it's only about a hundred years old, so we're still learning rapidly. And, there are many, many great books out there that you can learn more about it, and of course, go to school. One of the books that I refer to that I love personally is this one, right here. It's by Life Extension Foundation, and it's actually compiled by dozens of medical doctors as well as nutritionists. So that's what I recommend to get started.
