Hi, this is Rachel Richardson with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about how to become a registered dietitian. And so registered dietitian is something that I have that's my credential. After you become a registered dietitian you can also become a licensed nutritionist and start practicing nutrition teaching people about it and helping people with therapeutic conditions. As far as how to become one it's a process involving typically a bachelors degree in nutrition, any accredited program in the US as far as I'm aware. And then what you have to do is apply to an internship program. And there's dozens of internship programs throughout the country. They're fairly competitive. You apply in the same way that you would apply to a medical school if you were in that process. Meaning that you select the different programs that you would want to go to. You rank them on a ranking list and then the programs will basically pick you in order and then select you and match you up with one program, so that's where you're bound to go. So after that you have to sit for a national exam and keep up with your continuing ed and your dues and all that good stuff. This has been Rachel in Miami Beach, Florida.
