"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a life and dating coach, the owner of NY Dating Coach, here in New York City. In this clip, we'll talk about how to keep a conversation going because I think we've all been there. You're on a date with somebody, and then you're going, "Oh, god. What do I say next?" You know, so, you know, reporters always do the, you know, who, what, why, when, wow...how -- sorry -- which are great questions to come off of, but you don't want it to feel like an interrogation. So you know, keep it light and keep it moving. If there was some big event in the news recently, you could talk about that, or if there's something that you're planning or something that you'd always really like to do, something you read about that sounds interesting. If there's a lull in conversation, reveal something about yourself that'd be interesting, but not too intimate or too detailed. And just, you know, try to keep it light and try to keep it fun. Or even just acknowledge, "Okay. Pregnant pause," and you can both laugh about it. And if you're both feeling awkward, then sometimes that helps get over that together. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
