"I'm Roger Groh. We're here to talk today about how you can rent a house, even if you have bad credit. Well, there's several easy steps that you can take. Number one, you can always prepay the mortgage or prepay the rent for some period of time. Quite often landlords will take an extra big deposit. Let's say three months or an extra six months worth of deposit and that will make them feel more comfortable even if you have a bad credit history. Second is, you can always have a friend or family member guarantee the lease. And again, that would make the landlord feel more comfortable in renting the property to you. Last but not least, there are several programs, low income housing programs where they rent specifically to people with bad credit. And don't be afraid to look at this. If you Google it and go right on line. Look in your local community, your local county or city and look for low income housing programs, call them up, talk to them about it. And they can either get you into someplace that's cheap or help you qualify for a lease even though you may not have the credit that typically the landlords look for. Those are some easy steps that you can use to rent a house, even when you have bad credit. I'm Roger Groh."
