"Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist and I'm going to talk to you today about how to fix a relationship. When you feel like your relationship is broken, it is time to take a step back and really focus on your relationship, to give it some priority and spend some time on assessing what the problem areas are in your relationship. So, the first thing to do is to think over your relationship and try to categorize what exactly you're not happy with. Try to take a step back from any, you know, petty and small arguments that you've just had with your partner and look at thee overall relationship. Is this a relationship that meets your needs in some very specific areas like your need for affection, or your need for respect in a relationship, or your need for sexual fulfillment, your need for companionship, your need for financial security...these are just some of the ares that you can look at in your relationship and see whether your relationship lives up to your expectations. Now once you've figured out what's wrong with the relationship, now comes the harder part of trying to fix these areas of your relationship. Ideally, you will be able to sit down with your partner and discuss your concerns openly and without, without being too hurtful. If you find that this is too difficult to do and you cannot avoid getting into some really painful fights and pointless arguments whenever you try to discuss serious issues in your relationship, then maybe it's time to ask for the help of a mediator, or thee help of a counselor. You can help you sit down and work on your communication methods with your partner. Unfortunately, one of thee aspects that you need to be able to assess when you think about your relationship is whether or not these problems have solutions. If you feel like there is no way that you and your partner will ever see eye to eye on a particular area that is very important to you, than maybe it is time to start thinking about whether or not this relationship has a future."
