What is clothing for a chihuahua? Chihuahua's are unique amongst some of the smaller breeds of dogs to the point where they don't have a whole lot of fat on their bodies and they don't have a whole lot of fur covering their bodies. So they are very susceptible to the outside elements and especially the winter, the rain and the cold. So that as well as a certain amount of fashion sense has created a booming market for dog clothing. Especially small dog clothing. Small dog clothing can come in any kind of form, shape, or style that human clothing really is. In fact, most manufacturers like to mimic human clothing because it's cute. Everything from little pink sweaters with hoods on them, why the hood I don't know but people like them, to more of like a spring or fall jacket. And then they even have these fleece, more like winter-y coats for keeping them warm during the winter. Most of these clothes simply pull on over the dogs head and the dogs feet go through these little feet holes. Some of the higher quality ones like the Fido Fleece line actually have velcro on the top and you put the dogs feet through the litte holes and then pull it up over and velcro around the dog. These tend to stay on a whole lot better than the ones that you just pull over the head and stick the legs through. And they do work well at keeping out the winter or other outside elements. And they work pretty good at making sure you have a stylish pet too, who can go out and have a good time with you and show off your fashion sense.
