"This is financial adviser Patrick Munro talking about how to safely use an ATM machine. ATM machines of course are a convenience that we've gotten used to in the last twenty five years here in America. But as financial situations become more and more dangerous in a recessionary environment, crime rates tend to go up in a slower economy. Make sure that you use your ATM machine in a well lit area. Make sure that individuals close to you stay back and if they won't make sure you use another ATM machine. Always be mindful of what you are doing, approach the machine with your card in hand. Don't fumble in your purse or your wallet for the card. Have a task in mind, get it done and get out of the way. And back into your car or wherever you are going with your cash in hand. Never count your cash in front of the ATM machine in plain view of sight. And always take your receipt away and make sure you double check your work area that you have taken back your ATM card out of the machine. This is Patrick Munro on how to safely access your money at an ATM machine."
