This is Patrick Munro financial adviser talking about how to get a written credit report. Credit reports come from three directions in America there's really three credit reporting agencies, Experion, TransUnion, and Equifax. Their addresses are all on the internet or through your mortgage lender or banker, whoever you may choose to be working with. What you do is you write a letter and request based on your social security number that report from that agency. When it arrives you should examine it closely for accuracy. You will recognize some of your current credit card vendors and people that you are working with. Make sure that the report for each vendor rings true for the actual circumstances that exist in your current credit life. If you see anything in the credit report that looks suspicious or is untrue put together a letter of explanation immediately and send it by registered letter back to the credit reporting agency demanding that this information be reported correctly. They will be in touch and usually a resolution follows. This is Patrick Munro talking about credit report histories.
