"Green Energy companies are quite varied in our nation today due to the entreprenueral spirit in our country and the creativity of business leaders. They can range from public private quasi agencies like the Tennessee Valley Authority which has launched the Green Power Switch program which is used to subsidize wind energy and other forms of renewable energy available to consumers across the Tennessee Valley. Utilities, local utilities like the National Electric Service are also providing some wind power experiments at residences to produce wind power locally, locally to see if that is an opportunity for their consumers in addition to being partner with TVA's Green Power Switch program. And then it can be as simple as walking in to a Home Depot or an office supply store and having someone sell you a credit for a device as small as your cell phone. This sticker represents a clean energy credit that offsets the electric power use of my cell phone for two whole years which allows me to tell people that anything, any device that you have or any opportunity that you have in life can be very easily offset with renewable energy while you're using devices like this in a very traditional way. And it can be used as an educational opportunity, a conversational opportunity to advance the concept of sustainability or prosperity in our world."
