"We're here to talk about what is the cost of wind power. Today in the United States wind power is not competitive in all regions. In the Mid-West of the United States due to the amount of wind that's available in that part of the region. In other parts of the country wind is still, wind power is still attempting to be more cost effective and it's not quite there yet. For example in the Southeast United States, the Tennessee Valley Authority is using wind power through a subsidy program called The Green Power Switch where consumers can buy Green Power offsets by paying for additional blocks of renewable energy on their monthly electric bill and that subsidy or that incentive for TVA allows them to invest additional capital to make wind power cost effective solution for their energy needs."
