And in this clip, we're going to over the history of snowboarding. History of snowboarding started as early in the sixties with a company called Brunswick. They created the Snurfer. Then we had people like Tom Semmes, Jake Burton, Chuck Barfoot, a lot of other guys. Everybody's competing to say who created the first snowboard. Snowboards were surfer inspired, skateboard ins...inspired, and over thee years, shapes and designs have changed. Technology has changed and has basically become the number one snow sliding sport in the world. Snowboarding has grown from wooden decks, using foam decks, to using true wood core decks, fiberglass, p-tex bases, metal edges, instead of skags, instead of fins. Basically finding out what best suits some someone that is a powder junkie, a big mountain junkie. Sliding hand rails, riding half-pipe. Where back in the day, it was one snowboard fits all. Now there's different shapes, different sizes, different designs for different style ridings. Another interesting thing is you had to find a resort which would allow snowboarding and now there's only three or four in our country that don't allow snowboarders. So if you are a snowboarder in today's world, you came from a long tradition that started in the sixties. Lots of blood, sweat and tears, now we're the majority, and not the minorities.
