And in this clip we're going to go over common snowboard injuries. There's pretty much four common snowboard injuries. First off, the radial ulna, the classic broken wrist. Number two, fractured skull or concussions. Number three, the coccyx bone, a.k.a. the tail bone. And four, your standard hematomas. Hematoma is another word for bruising. So, the radial ulna. Normally, when people fall in the beginning, they put their arms out like this. The way to hopefully prevent that is going to be wearing a wrist guard. Wrist guards are available in every snowboard shop, and again, they can fit under the glove. Make your day last a lot longer. Number two, concussions. Head trauma. A helmet is a beautiful thing, if it's fit correctly, making sure it's snug from front to back and side to side. And every helmet manufacturer also has extra shims to make it custom fit your unique head, and everybody's is different. The next thing is the coccyx, or the tail bone. Normally from having a fall, sitting your butt down, you tend to impact the tail bone. Crack it. Displace it. Something that will help alleviate that problem are butt pads. Butt pads all come unique with a coccyx protector, enables you to ride a lot longer and sit down without sitting on a donut. Finally, of course, bruising. Bruising, again, from taking impacts on the hips and the butt. Again, butt pads with side impacts and the gluteus maximus impact protection. It'll make your ride a lot longer. It'll make it a lot easier. You'll learn a lot faster and spend less time in the ER.
