"Hi, my name is John Niemira and I'm here at the Salt Lake City campus of Steven Henagers College. And I want to talk to you about buying a franchise restaurant. A couple ways to go about buying a franchise restaurant, get on line first and look at buying a business. There's several great websites that talk about you buying a business, what's out there, how much they are, what they're making, what their grosses are and even some financial numbers. Second good way is to get a broker, a business broker, a person that's knowledgeable in that field. That's all they do is sell businesses, buy and sell businesses. And they can give you lots of great information, financials, match you up with the right business for you, the amount that you want to spend, what you're looking for and the franchises that are available to you. Then of course once you find the franchise you like, you think you know what you like, get on to their website. Click around, find some information. They usually have a link on their website that will talk about buying a franchise. Click on there, give them the information they need. They want some basic contact information. Get hooked up with the franchiser and get your first conversations going. Get a packet in the mail from them. Talk about their business and the potential and just get on line and do lots of research before you buy anything.
