"Hey, Rick the driving instructor once again. This time we're talking about child car safety. Okay, one thing you want to understand is that it's contrary to popular belief that if you think that somebody sitting in the front seat of the car can withhold a child to avoid an impact and still retain a firm grip, it's virtually impossible. There's lot of film out there to back up that factual information, that it's not possible, even if you're a female wrestler or you got a big build, I don't want to pick on the women, I'll pick on the men too. Nobody can hold that child, that's why the best place for your child to be and the safest place is in the backseat or in the front seat with a properly situated and belted in child safety restraint child seat. Now, there's lot of literature out there that is going to give you information concerning the types of seats that - or would be acceptable or to your liking. There's many periodicals and magazines that will address that as far as like from a consumer standpoint, so I'd certainly consult one of those to find out what will be the appropriate or the proper type of child restraint to use. It's the law in most states that you must have a child seat when you have children in the car with you, you don't want to let the little darlings back there all by themselves without that child seat. So it's very important that you get - select the right child seat, and it's properly restrained. Properly restrained is very important, every time that you get one of those that have instructions on how to properly align the seat in there and make sure you follow the manufacturer's suggestions and you should have a very nice fitting and properly installed child seat that will keep your child safe at all times."
