"So you just bought a brand new motorcycle and you want to make sure you're protected well my question today is, "How much is motorcycle insurance?" Hi, I'm Steve Greenstein from Jim's Harley Davidson in St. Petersburg Florida. Motorcycle insurance, that's a tough question. Really what it comes down to, it's all based on you and your driving record. If you're a wild man, you're going to pay a lot for insurance. If you have a great driving record, then it'll be accordingly to that. But it also depends on the make and model of bike you buy because some bikes are more expensive than others. So what you want to do is you want to check with either your local agent or I have a phone number that you can call. These people will shop it for you, it's a 1-800 number, even that. It's 1-800-832-4449 extension 4990. What you're going to need is the make and model of your bike, your VIN number, your drivers license. They're going to ask for that information and they'll actually shop it for you and give you the opportunity to get the best buy for you. At that point it's your decision as you where you want to go. You can also check with your local manufacturer and he might have somebody that he could recommend for you. Again, what is the cost of motorcycle insurance? All depends on you.
