Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen. And in this segment we're going to learn all about how to control pigeons in your attic. Now pigeons are little birds that can get anywhere if they really want to. And so I have found with critters is it's your responsibility to set boundaries for them. So the way they're getting into your attic is through a hole. There's got to be a hole somewhere. So the easiest way to control the pigeons in your attic is to go up there and block any entrances. And that way they can't get into your attic. And if you live in a large house or you can't get up there physically you can always hire a carpenter to do it. And that way you can block off any holes and the pigeons can't get inside the attic. That's number one. Number two is if you have a cat, your cat will chase off the pigeons. So just throw your cat up there in the attic and the pigeons will leave. But the easiest way to get rid of them if they are in your attic is to put all types of spice on the ground. They don't like hot red chili pepper or cayenne pepper or curry powder. Something that's really spicy. So everywhere they're coming in or they're hanging out or they're sitting sprinkle the cayenne pepper or the red hot pepper everywhere that you can. Because they don't like the smell. And also if there's a little ledge that they're perching on, if you can put a string across that ledge, just put a couple of nails with a string across they don't want to sit on that string. You're blocking their way to sit on that ledge. So they don't like it at all. You can always put spikes up there or I've used little monkey puzzle tree branches that are really sharp. And anywhere they are coming in or you can block off that area it will work. Because they have nowhere to sit and land then they will find a new place to go. So just set boundaries for your pigeons. Don't let them in in the first place. And make sure and put all types of spices around the area that they don't like. And you will find that they will leave your attic.
