How to Wash Out Semi-Permanent Hair Color

"Hi, I'm Amelia and I'm here to talk to you about how to wash out your semi-permanent hair color. Semi-permanent hair color is really only only going to stay in about a month, anyway, so from day one, after you get it, the next time you shampoo, some of that color is going to wash down the drain. If you're really trying to get rid of it, don't use a color-safe shampoo. Use a maybe a clarifying shampoo. Again, that could dry your hair out a little bit, so you're going to want to be a little bit more gentler with or a little bit get a better quality conditioner. Your semi-permanent colors are not going to stay in your hair. They're also not going to lighten your hair. So the one advantage of having a semi-permanent color is that you won't get that faded kind of brassy look once it washes out. You're basically be left with what your natural color was. But again, if you're really desperate, you could try something like Dawn dish soap or any type of dish soap. It's got a lot of really harsh surfactants in it that will clean out and kind of open up that cuticle a little bit, get in there, and take out a lot more of that semi-permanent color. I don't recommend using a color corrector because it's going to be a little bit too harsh for the semi-permanent, and really, if you're just patient, that semi-permanent hair color will probably wash out within a month or two."
