Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm here to talk to you about olive oil based hair relaxers. Most hair relaxers that are sodium based, they also have other oils in them. They're there to add shine and moisture to the hair while it's relaxing. An olive oil based hair relaxer is instead of mineral oil, that's in the relaxer, it has olive oil. So it's going to be a little bit more natural. It's really good for the hair, olive oil. And you can just use that as just a conditioner as well. But when you apply your relaxer, and sometimes they'll separate, you'll see the oil kind of coming to the top. So you always want to stir the relaxer up, make sure the oils are all mixed in. And then when you apply your relaxer, you would apply it, follow the timing charts, and then finish up with your neutralizing shampoo. Which your neutralizing shampoo also has oil in it, so you're also going to want to look and see if it's got the olive oil in it as well. And that's going to add moisture, and then you can also finish up with olive oil based styling products, and olive oil based shampoos and conditioners, and they're just going to impart natural shine and moisture to the hair. So olive oil is excellent for the hair. You can just apply it to the hair naturally, if you're trying to you know, smooth out some ends, just take a little bit and just apply it to the ends of your hair, However, you're going to probably want to mix it with another oil, because you don't want to walk around smelling like a salad. So, you know, I would not get the extra virgin, I would just get the regular olive oil, the light olive oil, and add some maybe, lavender scent to it, or some other scent. Scented oil to it, and use it. But most olive oil based relaxers are great, but just make sure on the back, there's olive oil in it. And that's all I have to say about olive oil based relaxers.
