"Good afternoon my name is Tom Brintzenhofe, Certified Master Mechanic from Redding, Pennsylvania and today we are going to talk about how to fix foggy headlights. Now there are a lot of products out there and the one I like the most is McGuire's Plastic Cleaner and you get that and just put a little bit of amount on your wet towel. What you want to do is you want to rub this back and forth. Now this headlight is not too bad. It is showing some age but yours might be a lot worse. It just takes a little bit more elbow grease to get it down to where you need to be. What you want to do is rub that back and forth. Don't push too hard because you don't want to end up gouging or scratching your headlight. Make sure you have clean rags and go ahead and wipe that back and forth for a little bit and take yourself some Windex and spray over your lens. Let that run down a little bit. Get your clean rag and what you want to do is start at the bottom and just wipe it off like so and you might want to do this once or twice and you might even have to do it more than that until you can get it nice and clean. If you have done that three or four times and it is still not coming clean and if you have done that three or four times and it is still not coming clean unfortunately you will have to go out and buy yourself a new lens but for the most part if they are not really that horrible you can usually clean them yourself at home. But that's about all there is to fixing foggy headlights."
