In the contexts of sociology and popular culture, the concept of interpersonal relationships involves social associations, connections or affiliations between two or more people. Such persons may interact overtly, covertly, face-to-face or may remain effectively unknown to each other, as in a virtual community whose members maintain anonymity and do not socialize outside of a chat room. The discovery or establishment of common ground between people provides a fundamental component for enduring interpersonal relationships. This free video series will discuss relationships in different contexts with help from a life and dating coach. Get tips on planning a wedding, and find out how to pick up a gay guy.
"Hi, I'm Donna Barns. I'm a life and dating coach and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about how to decide who to invite to your wedding. So the first thing to do is figure out your budget and how much money you have and how many people you're able to invite. Once you decide that, if it's a small amount, you really have to go with your core family members first. Your closest family members will of course want to be there to share your special day with you. If, if you still have more people after that, you can go out to your extended family a little bit. Really take care of your family first. They're the people that have known you your whole life. And then the next to your people is your closest friends. People that have really shared your life or helped you get to that point and have really showed an interest in your love for each other. So family first and then spread out to friends and colleagues; people you work with; really aren't as necessary if you're trying to keep your budget down. Because once you invite one person from work, then, you feel obligated to invite a whole bunch of people from work. So it's find if you don't include your work colleagues, if they're not really true close friends. So this is Donna Barns from New York City."
