"Hi, my name is John Niemira and I'm an instructor here at the Steven Henager College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Finding a business - I wanted to talk to you briefly about finding a business through innovation. Innovation comes from your own ideas, something that you've had in mind, something that you have started, something that you have always wanted to do. Something that you have experience in. It all starts with an idea to a business plan to an actual business. So, once you find the idea, once you have the direction that you want to go with a business, start to do some research online. Find out about the industry, find out who is out there in your competition, find out what you would have to do to sell the products or the services you want to provide. Research, research, research. Find out who your potential customer base is. Think about your marketing, who you would sell to, how you would sell, how much it would cost you to start this business up, and where you would get your financing from. Please do your research, get online can be very helpful and your local library and some of the business bureaus can also help you with that.
