"Recently, you've been hearing about gender discrimination in the workplace, and you may have even heard about the Novartis gender discrimination lawsuits. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to talk about what are the Novartis gender discrimination lawsuits? Well first of all, we all know that gender or sex discrimination employment laws prohibit the unfair consideration of one's gender when making an employment decision, and specifically, the Novartis gender discrimination cases involved equal pay claims whereby women who were sales representatives were paid at one rate, and men who were also sales representatives doing the same job as the women sales representatives were paid at a higher rate. This resulted in a class action lawsuit to, basically, complain about that, and resulted in a settlement. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching."
