"You are an employer that has an employee that may have committed what you believe is workers' compensation fraud. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer what is workers' compensation fraud. Well first of all, keep in mind that in all fifty states they have their each individual and unique workers compensation laws. And these individual and distinctive workers' compensation laws are going to define what is workers' compensation fraud in your particular location. Generally speaking, workers' compensation fraud contemplates an employed misrepresenting or concealing a material fact about their employment or about their accident or resulting injuries, so as to try to gain workers' compensation benefits. And in many states when the employer does that the entire workers' compensation claim can be extinguished. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching."
