You are a homeowner in Florida who, like many homeowners across the nation has recently experienced difficulty in making your mortgage payments. And now your particular lender is threatening or has actually instituted a mortgage foreclosure against you. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how to stop mortgage foreclosure in the state of Florida. Well it's not too terribly different here in the state of Florida than it would be in any one of the other states in the United States. Basically what's involved here is you're not making the payment and the lender wants payment to satisfy the mortgage. So, you can do one of several things. You can contact the lender and see if they will entertain renegotiating the terms and conditions of the mortgage and the note on your home because basically perhaps you've got it at too high of an interest rate or the amount of the payments are too much or the term is too short which made the payments too high and you'd like to lengthen the term so that you can make the payments lower or something of that nature. Or if your particular lender is not interested in renegotiating, you can contact another lender and see if you can refinance. Obviously if you can refinance and pay off the mortgage, your lender doesn't care where the money is coming from. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching.
