"You may have lost your job, someone in your family may have had a serious illness recently, or there may have been a death in your family but in any event you are suddenly faced with difficulty in making your mortgage payments and you are hearing all kinds of stuff about mortgage foreclosure and you don't want to go there. Hello I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question how to stop mortgage foreclosure legal proceedings. Well obviously the whole point of the mortgage foreclosure is so that your lender can satisfy the debt of the mortgage that is on your home. Your lender doesn't really care how they are paid they just want to get paid so perhaps one of the best places to start is to contact your lender to see if there is some way you can renegotiate the loan and the mortgage on your particular house. Perhaps consider lengthening the term of the mortgage so that you can bring down the payments or lower the interest rate so that you can bring down the payments or something in that nature, or alternatively if your lender is not interested in discussing renegotiation then you may contact an alternative lender and see if you can refinance the house. If you can refinance the house and pay off the mortgage your current lender doesn't care how they are paid. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
