"You've recently gotten behind on the payment of your mortgage to your lender and now the lender is instituting mortgage foreclosure on your home but you think the lender set this whole thing up with illegal practices and you want to know what you can do about it. Hello I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to address the question how to stop foreclosure do to lender fraud. Basically this may be more difficult then it sounds because you are going to have to prove that the lender engaged in some type of illegal activity. Now there are federal statutes on what constitutes illegal lender activity and there are of course state statutes on what constitutes legal or illegal lender activity. And you are going to have to check your particular state. Such things are fake appraisals, having people lie to you during the negotiation process. Promising you one thing delivering another and so forth and so on. There is a particular act known as respa r e s p a, that stands for the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and you may check this out at a website entitled respa dot com.
