"Hi everyone. My name is Dave Casuto, from San Francisco Computer Tutors, and in this exercise, we're going to show you how to publish your website, using Dreamweaver. After all that hard work of creating a site, we're going to show you basically how to make it live, so the first thing you want to remember, and make sure of, is that your site is connected to what's called an FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, to make sure that you have a server and that all your server information, is correct, but most likely, when you set up your site initially, it had all that information, so let's go ahead and go to the drop down menu, where our site is listed. Let's go to Manage Sites, and then you're going to see my site listed here, and then we're going to go to Edit, and then Remote Info, is going to be what you're going to have most the most important with. That's what you're going to want to be the most focused around, and then under Access, you want to be doing FTP, most likely, and then you want to make sure to put in all your host information here, host directory, your login, that's how you get into the server, and your password, so make sure all of that stuff is correct, and then go ahead and click Test, so, and then we'll test it out, so that's going to be something that you're going to want to work out with your service provider, and they can go ahead, and tell you what all this information is. You can create your own login and password, and then your FTP host, will most likely be your URL, and your host directory, you can sometimes leave that blank, or sometimes just HTML, but you're going to want to talk to them about it, so we're not actually linked up here, but I'm going to show you what you need to do. Once that's actually done, it's very simple to actually, what's called putting up a site, so notice how we have this globe up here. That's how we've been previewing our sites, just to make sure that it actually looks good, inside a browser. To the left of that, you're going to see two arrows, where it says File Management. One is coming down, one is going up. If you click on it, you see here it says, get checkout, put check in, etc, so what you would do, is you would actually put your site up, and right now it's grayed out, because we don't actually have an FTP site up, but normally what you would do, is you would just put your site up, and then it would actually be going on to the internet. Well, that concludes that exercise, on how to actually publish your website, in Dreamweaver, so I hope you learned a lot, and enjoyed it as much as I did. Once again, my name is Dave Casuto, from San Francisco Computer Tutors, and you can look me up on yelp.com, under San Francisco Computer Tutors. Take care. Thanks."
