"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, I'm a life and dating coach and owner of NY Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about the evolution of dating. And dating has really evolved over the years. It used to be courtship and very formal, sometimes you had a chaperone and there were all sorts of rules of what you were allowed to do together. Today dating really means trying on the relationship and really getting intimately involved with somebody. So, it's evolved over the years slowly and become a much more acceptable thing. I mean, look at how far women have come, you know, women used to be considered a slut if she went out and dated too much, but now it's perfectly appropriate. And if you haven't dated a lot it could be a concern to somebody that you hadn't got it all out of your system and you hadn't opened yours to enough things, so dating has really come a long way and I think that dating is a very necessary tool in finding a happy marriage, if that's where you're headed, because it gets to try things out and learn new things and discover what it is about you that is the most important. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
