"In this segment we will discuss the advantage of the Broadband connection. It is important to remember that in the early days of the internet the only thing that was available was access to the telephone lines but as users wanted more and more speed because they were downloading more and more files using images and so forth the phone line capabilities were limited and they couldn't send as much data as people were wanting so that is where Broadband comes into play. Broadband is basically like a free way with multiple lanes compared to a one or two lane highway. It allows the sending and receiving of a lot more data at a lot faster speed. This is important especially in businesses where you are going to have many computers hooked up to the network or the internet and you need to send and receiving a lot of data all day long. It is a necessity in most businesses to have a Broadband connection and some people in their homes want to have a Broadband connection which means they are doing graphic intensive downloading or big files and then that is the main advantage of Broadband is increased speed."
