Now one thing you want to consider is security and also the range in your home or apartment that you are going to need to be able to send and receive signals. The first thing is range. If you live in a larger home you need to cover more distance, you need to purchase a more expensive wireless router that will cover greater distances. If you live in a smaller home or an apartment you can get by with a lower end router that doesn't transfer, transmit the signal as far. The other consideration is security. The higher priced routers, wireless routers provide more security such as a firewall. That way when people are driving by your home for example with a wireless connection of their own, then they cannot necessarily get into your system, get your information because you have the security in place. The price ranges are starting at thirty dollars approximately going up to two hundred dollars. Depending again on the features and the security."
