"The basics of how a wireless Internet connection will work in your home requires some additional hardware. You will need a wireless router like this which connects to your main computer and then this wireless router will send out the signal throughout your home. If you have a second or third computer then each computer will need a device to pick up this signal for sending and receiving data. If you have a desktop computer like this one here, then you will need to have a card like this installed, a wireless card. This physically inserts in to your computer. This sticks out the back end and with this antenna here, will send, receive the signal sent out by the wireless router. Laptop computers can also be used in your home for accessing a wireless connection. You still need the wireless router. But in addition to that you will need a USB receiver. This USB receiver, like this plugs in to the USP port on your laptop computer. Some laptops come with this from the manufacturers, otherwise you have to purchase your own."
