"In this segment we are going to discuss different types of modem connections for your computer. The most typical kinds are the DSL modems which go with your telephone line, cable modem which goes to your cable company or the standard analog modem which goes also to your telephone line. The first way of connecting to the internet has been around about 20 years is the modem and an analog modem hooks up to your computer and to your phone line and is the most economical way. It is very inexpensive. You can get an ISP with a dial up modem for about $10 a month and the only thing is that it is slow. The maximum download speed you are going to get is 56 K which is 56 kilobytes so there is limitations there. But that is a simple way to connect to the internet at through a point of presence using an analog modem."
