"This clip we'll answer the question how do you connect your laptop computer to your television. The state of the art technology currently is HDMI which is digital. This allows video and audio through your laptop computer. You must make sure that your TV is HDMI compatible that it has the jack on it for HDMI. The other option is S video which is analog. This only allows a video standard video connection. If you also want sound, then you have to hookup a separate microphone jack. In addition, if you want VGA output from your computer to your television, there are additional devices that you can purchase that will allow you to do that."
