"Hello I am Patti German a licensed marriage and family therapist in New York City. In this clip we are going to talk about moving out for the first time. I think there's a genuine natural fear of going out on your own and leaving the comforts of what you've been raised with and where you lived for a very , very long time. So moving out is very important to create a space to go to that can provide many of the comforts that you are leaving behind. And it's you know having something setup to substitute where you are living. And what you are living with. I think the fear of moving out is not knowing where you are going. So if you create something concrete it's a lot easy to move out because you know where you are going. You've got to really pick a spot that creates safety and comfort and at the same time you can trust and commit to being there. This is Patti German in New York City."
