"Hello, I am Patti German, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York City. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to avoid repetitive stress. Stress is very, very difficult to deal with on a continual basis. If it's the same type of stress that comes over, and over again, it's time to just take a look at what is causing the stress, what is underneath it, is it the same patterns that you've had in the past, is it a new pattern, is it a particular person, is it a job, is it a new situation. And then it's important to understand what's making you so stressful. Is it a feeling of being out of control, is it a feeling of having too much to do, is it a feeling of not being understood. And I feel that if the stress keeps repeating over, and over again, it might be very beneficial to seek a little therapy on this level, to understand why you're attaching yourself to situations that keep causing, and continue to cause the same stress over, and over again. I think it's important to evaluate for yourself, your own patterns of stress in your life. Again, this is Pattie German in New York City."
