"We are going to talk about the ready position for the game of badminton. The ready position is essential position in the court where you are about equal distance from all of it's sides every corner from which you can rapidly move. One goes to their ready position after serving the shuttle. Serving the shuttle happens up front in the court. The ready position is about six feet behind the service line in badminton. It is an equal distance point from all of the corners and sides of the court. One takes the ready position by slightly winding the legs, being putting the weight on the front of the foot, the sole of the foot should barely be touching. The racket in the ready position is in front of the person about at height shoulder. It is again, an equal distant position where one can move it up or move it down very rapidly or in front of himself. You also want to balance yourself well. You want to apply equal weight to both legs where one can move rapidly from one side or the other from that position or front or back. The idea of the ready position is also to come back between shots to the central point so you are ready for all the eventualities from the different shots coming at you."
