"In this clip, I'm going to show you how to compound a car. If your car's a little bit older and the paint doesn't look as good as it did when new, there's a good chance polishing compound will help bring it back to its original shine. For this procedure, you're going to need a polishing compound and some microfiber cloths. The first step is to clean the section of the car you want to compound thoroughly. Once you have the car cleaned, it's time to apply the compound. A little bit of compound on a microfiber cloth -- not too much -- put it on, and start rubbing. Circular motions work best. This requires a lot of elbow grease. Once you've applied the compound, it's time to remove it. It'll have a haze on the paint. Get a clean cloth and start wiping. It's also okay to wash it off with some soap and water. It's important to keep rubbing until you get the paint back to an original shine. Any haze left means you didn't get all the compound off. It's pretty hard work -- I recommend doing a section at a time -- but the results are well worth it."
