"If you have an older carburated car, one of the best things you can do to keep it running great is to keep the carb clean. Grab a carb treatment, throw it in gas with every oil change and you'll keep your car running good and strong for a long time come. In addition to running a can of carb cleaner through the fuel tank, you'll also want to get some carbon choke cleaner to spray through the throttle of the carburetor while the car is running. Follow the directions on the back of the bottle. It'll tell you exactly how the manufacturer recommends it being done. Generally you will have the car running, you'll pull the air cleaner off and spray this down the throat of the carburetor. The car might hesitate and idle at and idle funny for a little bit but it will clear up and it will make the car run better in the long run. Carbon choke cleaner available at your local auto parts store."
