What is the best over-counter whitener? There are several, several, several on the market. Just depending on your preference, and even ask your dental hygienist what they may suggest. If it is your first time, I would definitely just go with the Crest white strips, make sure when using the Crest white strips you read the directions very thoroughly, and brush your teeth before you use them because their main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. And with hydrogen peroxide just as when you cut your hand, and you put hydrogen peroxide on that, what does it do, foam up. If you don't brush your teeth and get the bacteria out of your mouth before using these whitening strips, your teeth will foam and it will just look ridiculous and it'll smear the actual whitening gel. So make sure you read the directions very thoroughly.
