"You remember the metal tubes that they used to put toothpaste in? Those are the things of the past. Why? Because when you use to roll them up to get the toothpaste out, they would bend and crack and leak out of the side and you would have lots of toothpaste loss. They probably had them right around nineteen thirty, nineteen forty and well now of course, you see them in the plastic tubing and you know that you can roll them up with the greatest of ease without having anything spill out. The most that spills out is out the front. So that you'll have the best spreadable on your toothbrush but yep back in the day they used to have the metal tubing. And they got, they discontinued it because of course it was clogging our landfills and it wasn't, it wasn't cost effective like plastic is all around and plastic is so much more in abundance. And you can recycle plastic a little bit easier. So it just became a lot easier to use the plastic versus the metal so that's why they did away with it. Because every time you would use it, it would crack open and be a lot of waste so now we are in this day and age and the plastic is what is new."
