Something many people don't know that there are government grants out there that can be used to pay off debts. That grant is the word... a grant is free money. You don't have to pay it back. You have to show the need for these grants. They can be found, a lot of them, on a website. Go to government, your state government, your local government probably federal government is going to be the easiest way to find this money. It is money that if you show the need, maybe you're unemployed, you've been unemployed for a long time, maybe you've been ill, you show need and they can help you get money and you don't ever have to pay it back. The other thing about using a grant, free money, to pay off debt would be to make sure that you don't get yourself back into debt again by reusing those credit cards. They need to be destroyed because the temptation is always going to be there. So destroy the credit cards, otherwise in the future if you get yourself into that same position again, you're likely... you're more than likely are not going to get the federal government to bail you out again.
