Losing 10 pounds in two weeks is possible for overweight people by lowering the amount of water retained in the body, but people only slightly overweight lose weight more slowly. Lose water weight rapidly and safely with tips from a licensed dietitian in this free video on health and nutrition.
Hi, I'm Rachael Richardson. I'm a licensed nutritionist, and registered dietitian, with Nutrolution, in South Beach, Florida. In this clip, we're going to talk about how you can lose 10 pounds in two weeks. Now, just to give you an idea, not everybody is going to be able to lose 10 pounds in two weeks. However, I have worked with many people, in the past, who have lost weight as much as this, or even more, in just a couple of weeks. Usually this applies to people that are very, very heavy, that are in the morbidly obese category, so if you're only 10 pounds above your ideal body weight, I would not expect to lose 10 pounds in two weeks, in a healthy fashion. Also, when you lose 10 pounds in two weeks, you're really going to be losing mostly water weight, which is a good start, so here's how to do that. The main things that you want to pay attention to, are basically removing all refined foods from your diet, particularly your sugar and your salt. The reason why you can lose so much weight, in these two weeks, is because sugar and salt act as attracting molecules, and they attract water to them, so when you have sugar and salt in your bloodstream, it basically pulls lots of water into your body, so when you cut these two molecules out of your diet, you can lose quick weight in just a couple of weeks.
