"Hi, I'm Rachael Richardson. I'm a licensed nutritionist and registered dietitian with Nutrolution in South Beach, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about doing a lemon detox. Now first off I just wanted to mention that I've never personally done a lemon detox nor have I ever directed one of my patients or clients to do a detox. However, I have talked with people who have done them, friends of mine and people that I meet, and I've actually heard some good results. I've heard some varying reports, but I do think it's important for you to know that if you're a very toxic person, this could be a dangerous detoxification system for you to do. But just so that you know what it is, a lemon detox involves squeezing fresh lemon juice, it also involves adding some pure grade B maple syrup, and it involves some cayenne pepper mixed in water. So you take these four ingredients and you actually mix them up and you drink nothing but this for ten days. Again, I believe that this is a very rapid detox and something that could be dangerous for those of you with diabetes or other health conditions. So please consult a nutritionist like myself or a physician before doing something like this. This has been Rachael with Nutrolution in South Beach, Florida."
