"Hello. My name is Joyce Rosen and I'm the executive director of the Foundry Art Centre and also a founding board member. We will be open four years May 9, 2008. And, as you can see, it's a beautiful facility. This was ACF's rail testing facility. The railroad tracks are all buried under the new concrete. And we have 5200 square feet of Smithsonian-caliber gallery space. So our gallery is actually a building within a building, so that, therefore, we can do Smithsonian traveling shows. Right now, we have various juried exhibitions in the first two galleries and we normally have our Going Solo or a group four award, Ameristar. We've just started a new series of the emerging artist. And in the Baue Family Gallery, we always have a school from the region, K-12. On the second floor, we have twenty artist studios and twenty-five artists that are using this as studio space as working studios. And it's always nice when the public comes up and visits them. It's nice to have that kind of exchange with an artist who is currently working. We are in the cornerstone of Frenchtown, which is a very old community in the St. Charles area. And we're actually on Riverside Drive. So, once you pass Frontier Park, you'll come upon this building that is 38,000 square feet and you'll see our sign that says Foundry Art Centre. Not only are we in the St. Charles community, St. Louis, but we are nationally recognized and we are now internationally. We get entries from France, Japan, Australia. One of our award winners in the last show is from Serbia. It's exciting. You have to come and see it for yourself. Most people walk in and go, "Wow! This is an incredible building.""
