How to Use Jokes to Pick Up Girls

"Does insult humor work for you, maybe not. How do you use jokes to pickup girls? This is Dr. Paul author of Boomer girls, a boomer woman's guide to men and dating. And host of ask Dr. Paul. Ok I had many women call and say I really like him from the get go because he had a great sense of humor. Well you're not the Joker in Batman. That's pretty grim. So what you want to do is make sure that humor is ok and it may be a little piercing but it still is tolerable and it's funny. Nothing is worse then a joke that falls flat. Typically something in the area that you are in can be funny, like wow look at that newspaper headline,you think we are all going to go into depression. That's kind of funny. Something that goes along with the idea in mind. Something that may be of interest to her, she's with her friends and you are talking and saying, does your mother dress you like that all the time. And she may be embarrassed by it, she may think it's funny but it's an opener and she may respect you for it. So have some ideas in mind as to what you want to use for humor. And often times a joke on yourself is worthwhile. I was sitting over there but you know what I was so nervous about coming over to talk to you that I tied both my shoe laces together and almost fell on my face. Maybe that's an opener. Maybe it works for you, I heard people use that one, in fact a girl told us that on the show. And so if you tell a joke on you it can often times be more humorous and it also relieves the tension. There's a little bit of tension when you go to talk to somebody and humor saves the day. I've seen it used in boardrooms too so give it a go.
