"Today I'm going to demonstrate how to make a French Colada. Now, this is not a blended drink but it could be so we're going to build this in our sixteen ounce beer glass. We take our glass and fill it up with ice, as we always start off, and we're going to mix in our base ingredient, which is going to be a light rum. Now, most coladas you can immediately think of light rum as your base, dark rum, sometimes, but it doesn't really matter as long as you have that rum base. Then, our second is going to be a cognac, you can feel free to use a brandy if cognac's not available, it's going to pretty much taste the same. So you're going to go two parts to one part or an ounce to half an ounce so four counts to a two count. One, two, three and four to one and those are going to give you your desired pours. Now, you're going to give a splash of creme de cassis so that way you have a little bit of a berry flavor in there, just like so. You're going to want to add in some coconut milk, if you don't have coconut milk some cream will do with maybe a little bit of coconut rum to substitute that flavor. You're going to add in some pineapple juice over top, just like so. You're going to get your highball glass with ice prepared, then you're going to mix and shake all your ingredients, then use your Hawthorne strainer so you don't get anymore ice in there and just strain it directly into that highball glass. Look at that color of that drink, it's really nice, creamy, just as a glass should be, on the rocks. It kind of looks like a liquid version of a cream saver. There you go, French Colada a drink you'll undoubtedly enjoy."
