"This drink is called an El Cid. If you've heard that name before, El Cid is a Spanish folk hero. He helped drive the Moors out of Spain. It was also, excuse me, he was also played by Charlton Heston in a movie in the, during the sixties. Anyway, that's enough of the history lesson. Let's get to the drink. Spanish, Mexico, Tequila. Yeah that'll work. We're going to make this in a highball glass filled with ice. The main ingredient is tequila. We're going to add an ounce and a half of tequila. Let's use our jigger. Now we'll do one ounce on this side and a half ounce on the other. And then it's going to have a little splash of grenadine. Splash. Splash of Amaretto, which is an Italian liqueur. It's got an almond flavor to it. Like so. We're going to need a little lime juice. Tequila and lime juice always seem to go hand and hand. And then tonic water. Interesting. Like a tequila and tonic. There we go. Look at that. Nice and bubbly. We're going to add a lime to this as well. Let you get a good look at that. Give it a little squeezed lime. Drop that in. There you go. That is El Cid. Don't mess around with El Cid."
